Clash London Calling Men's Slim Fit T-shirt
This t-shirt is printed with the 'London Calling' album cover from 80's punk rock band, The Clash on the front. The cover features a photograph of bassist Paul Simonon, smashing his guitar at The Palladium in New York City. The September 21st, 1979 show was during part of the "Clash Take the Fifth" US tour, at the height of punk and new wave music. The picture was later voted the best rock and roll photograph of all time. The photographer felt the picture was slightly out-of-focus (since she was moving backwards to avoid getting hit by guitar debris) and that it wasn't good enough for the album cover. Lead vocalist/ guitarist Joe Strummer convinced her to use the shot. The broken remains of Simonon's bass are in the permanent collection of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio. Capture a piece of rock 'n roll history and show your inner punk pride with this unique shirt. A great collectible for the Clash fan.
