Nirvana Forest In Utero Men's T-Shirt, Turquoise
Stunning turquoise blue t-shirt with Nirvana's 'In Utero' graphic on a vivid forest background. American 'grunge' band Nirvana, was formed by Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic in 1987. 'In Utero' was the band's third album, following their debut release of 'Bleach,' and their breakthrough album 'Nevermind'. Cobain originally wanted to name the album "I Hate Myself And I Want to Die", intended as a joke (the phrase was Kurt's response to anyone who asked how he was doing). The final title 'In Utero' was taken from a poem written by Courtney Love, Cobain's girlfriend and founder of the band, 'Hole.'
Artist Robert Fisher designed the Nirvana albums, using Cobain's ideas. This cover is an image of a transparent anatomical manikin, with angel wings superimposed. The collage on the back cover consists of model fetuses and body parts lying in a bed of flowers, which Cobain called "Sex and woman and In Utero and vaginas and birth and death." The album tracks were listed in the center, and re-illustrated symbols from Barbara G. Walker's The Woman's Dictionary of Symbols and Sacred Objects were printed around the edge of the collage.
